Gameplay
========
Simply shoot down or destroy the attacking aircraft/seacraft/saboteurs, while guiding
your sub through the dangerous waters. There are 9 levels in all.
Once you've made it through a particular level, you will be able to start near
that level next time you start the game, however your score will be reset
to 00000.

You'll find a variety of enemies, each with their strengths, and
an achilles heal...somewhere :)

Quick guide to the baddies:

Skimmers: very basic attack/speedboat craft. Fast, but relatively harmless,
until they attack en masse.

Helos: Modern armoured helicopters. Slow, but the charges they drop, fall/sink
faster than typical charges.

Launchers: These craft have powered charge launchers attached. They can hurl
depth charges towards you from a distance.

Jets: Jets are fast, and drop dangerous torpedoes. The torpedoes should
be shot down before they hit the seabed if possible. Otherwise, you'll need to
outrun them until they exhaust their fuel.

Destroyers: The purpose built anti-submarine vehicle of choice. They are slow,
but can hurl a multiple spread of charges towards an area at once.

Scuba Divers: Dishonourably discharged navy seals. If they get close enough to
your sub, they will plant a modern magnetic limpet mine on
your hull. They're set to go off a few seconds later, giving the seal time to get
away. You can dislodge them if you can get close enough to a depth charge
explosion, otherwise...dead sub walking :)

Mine layers: These floating pontoons are easy targets, but they leave
behind a deadly legacy. Watch out for any mines they've already planted on the
seabed, but also watch out for the un-deployed mines that will no doubt sink
towards you when you destroy the craft.

Submarines: These sleek vessels can't go quite as deep as your experimental sub,
but they are fitted with guided torpedoes...So either get underneath
them and quickly dispatch them, or high-tail it out of there.

Dreadnaught: You'll see :) The key to defeating the dreadnaught is in picking
the right gun to destroy first, second and third, plus a little patience...

History
========
This game is loosely based on a very old game called Air/Sea Attack which
was made for the Creativision/Funvision/Dick Smith Wizzard console. Though
it's diverged significantly from the original.
It was probably a clone of some other arcade game at the time (as is typical
of Creativision titles), but I don't know what that title was.

It's not a remake in the truest sense of the word, as the original was extremely
rudimentary, and if you'll excuse the pun, had no real 'depth' :) to it....and
not much in the way of, enemy 'waves' :) :)

Nevertheless, enjoy, and please send me a friendly email if you got a few
minutes/hours/days enjoyment out of it...or if it kills your PC and wipes your
financial records...But I can't be held responsible for any such actions, blah,
blah, blah, etc..
