-- requirements -------------------------------------------------------------

Demo would like to have an Amiga 500 computer equipped with 1MB chip.
Tested on A500, A1200, A4000 and WinUAE emulator with all settings.
We didn't get sound out of A4000. It may have something to do with
setpatch or maybe the dozen expansion cards found on the machine or
maybe Player6.1A just sucks? Anyway, it's a miracle this demo works
in the first place! No major graphics bugs were detected. Good enough?
Use setpatch and nocache for high-end machines though it may look cool
with cache turned on do to selfmodifying code, hehe. That's not a bug.
Notice! This is a demo for Amiga 500 and all the rest is just a bonus.

-- bla bla ------------------------------------------------------------------

This is our first and last demo ever. It is also the only demo any of us
has ever done. It is the result of ten years of lazy coding of which we
did nothing for the last five years :) But it took us 200 hours to finish
it from scratch in spring-summer 2000. We are quite proud of the result.
As people tend to say they did their productions in two days (what a load
of bullshit!) we say we did this in 200 days! It's all 100% genuine self-
invented code, no ripping or copying was done. So we went the hard way.

Mandel Bros consists of three guys from Helsinki, Finland. We've known
each other for ten to twenty years and computed since 1985 or so. We've
pretty much seen everything on the C64, Amiga and PC platforms since
those days so we can honestly say that the A500 scene was the best ever.
Nutcase was firstly a musician, secondly a coder. Visage was a gfx man,
secondly a swapper. Roland was a sysop and has always been a hardcore
Commodore fan. We've been in so many groups we don't care to list them.
We say all this in a past sence because we haven't been there for years.
This is the demo Nut promised back in 1994 in a module called Circulus
Arcticus. You can hear a fixed version of that mod in the second part.
We pay respect to the oldskool that we also had the chance to be part of
with this demo. We thought we'd like to thank you and contribute somehow.

We think that all those demos that were not released back in the days
could be finished and released today. It's not lame nor shame to do it.
People will find those demos with great pleasure from back2roots.org.
You can always release them with another group name that you were in.
Today you can emulate A500 with great accuracy using WinUAE. We had a
good experience in doing so. It only took a week to memorize how to
code after five years of doing nothing! You can have many simultaneus
WinUAE windows running at the same time using the same harddrive image.
You just need your disks converted and the good old hardware reference.
We don't think there's much of a point in doing new things on A500, but
to finish unfinished demos is a good idea. We love them! We want them!
