INTRODUCTION
This section of the manual is intended to help you if anything goes
wrong with your installation of the ISOLAN Drivers.

ERRORS DURING INSTALLATION
Refer to the user manuals accompanying your software package
for details of its installation and possible errors.

NETWORK PROBLEMS
If you have just performed what appears to be a successful
installation of your LAN software package with ISOLAN Drivers, but
your computer fails to operate across the network as required,
the failure may be due to:

a mismatch between the ISOLAN driver selected and the ISOLAN
       Controller Card,
      an incorrect network installation,
      cable faults,
      a faulty network transceiver.

To check which of the above problems applies, we recommend that
  you:

Check that during the installation routine you selected the
ISOLAN Driver which services the ISOLAN AT or MCA Controller
       Card in your computer.

Ensure that your cabling is correctly connected and terminated.

Ensure that your cabling and transceiver attachment conforms
to the rules of the IEEE 802.3 standards.

Ensure that the transceiver which attaches the computer to
the network is working correctly. This may be done by using
an ISOLAN Test Unit (Part No. 1105-0).
If an ISOLAN Test Unit is not available then try using the
transceiver with another networked PC which you know to be
       working correctly.

If, after checking the network, you are still experiencing network
problems, then contact your supplier for advice.
