HOW TO USE THIS DOCUMENT
------------------------

To view Readme.txt on screen in Notepad, maximize the Notepad window.

To print Readme.txt, open it in Notepad or another word processor,
and then use the Print command on the File menu.


Description
-----------

Edwin 1.1 is a full-featured HTML Editor for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95.
It supports all basic character formatting, images, maps, tables, fill-
out forms, frames, special characters, form attributes, and more.


Registration
------------

I am constantly updating and improving this product.  By registering

Installing Edwin 1.1
--------------------

To install Edwin 1.1 on your computer:

1.  Open File Manager (Win3.1x) or Windows Explorer (Win95).

2.  Locate the decompressed "install.exe" in the directory where
    "edwin.zip" is located.

3.  Double click the "install.exe" icon.

4.  Follow the on-screen instructions.


Uninstalling Edwin 1.1
----------------------

To remove EdWin 1.1 from your computer:

Windows 3.1x

1.  Delete all files contained in the "c:\edwin" directory or 
    alternate location if you chose a different directory.

2.  Delete the "c:\edwin" directory.

3.  Delete the Edwin 1.1 Program Group from the Program Manager.

Windows 95

1.  Delete the "c:\edwin" directory and all its contents.

2.  Use Windows Explorer to locate the "c:\windows\start menu\programs"
    directory.  Delete the "EdWin 1.1" Program File.

If you have created any HTML documents in these directories that you 
wish to save, save them to a different location before starting.


Troubleshooting
---------------

If Edwin 1.1 does not run, the copy you have may have been corrupted.
Try the following:

1.  Try downloading or copying again from the source.

2.  If it still doesn't work, contact the source to inform them that
    their copy is corrupt.
