CoreNew3.exe is a self extracting install program.

It is intended as a patch for users of The Core Rules.

Simply put CoreNew3.exe in your CoreRule folder and

run CoreNew3.exe as you would run any 'exe'.



For users of previous patches, CoreNew3 is a combination

of Map Maker fixes and Core Rules fixes.  (You do not need

any previous patches to use CoreNew3.  Previous patches

should not have any effect on CoreNew3.exe)



CoreNew3.exe replaces CoreRule.exe, MonView.exe, and

MapMaper.exe. (Other files are updated, also.)



CoreNew3.exe includes all of the fixes from any previous

patch (CoreNew1, CoreNew2, and MapNew1) plus:



Core Rule fixes:



- Corrections to thieving skills.

- Ability to give custom gems and art to you character.

- Ability to add custom magic items to treasure.

- Add color to your character sheet printout.

- Corrections to help text.

- More pictures on equipment pages.

- More items are wearable.

- Adjustments to encumbrance when using magic bags and pouches.

- Corrections to money on inventory page and printout.

- Added proficiencies for custom weapons.

- Adjustment to capacity for custom containers.

- Custom animals can now be pack animals (treat as containers).

- Corrections to saving throws when magic items are worn.

- Strength adjustment removed for hurled weapons.

- Armor class corrections were made to a few items.

- Corrections to damage adjustment on some weapons.

- Adjustment to ability scores when certain magical items are worn.



 Fixed custom monster entry dialog box so that damage/attack

  is entered via free form text edit field "combat".  

  Removed damage/attack single entry stats.  



 Fixed custom monster printout to remove "Magic Resistance", 

  get damage/attack from free format "combat" field, 

  get correct "# of attacks" value, 

  enhance "Movement" to include all types.  

  Dont print values that are not entered (ie zero or spaces).



 Fixed the encounter printout to include all types of "movement", 

  and to get "Damage/Attack" from free format entry

   "Combat" field described above.



 Added Racial Abilities text for Dwarfs and Halflings re. Saving

  Throws bonus text/chart.



 Fixed so that capitalized "Arrows", etc. dont print THAC0. 

  Added Blowguns ammo "Needles" and "Barbed Darts" to the 

  list of non-print THAC0 items.



 Fixed reversal display/print of "Breath Weapon > 20" in MonView.exe.



 Added the ability to delete a single spell from their spell book in

  "Update Char".



 Grayed out the Import Dlg "View" button when called from within

  the Encounter Screens.



 Fixed Thief Skills printout to handle non-armor item worn.



 Shrunk the custom item for treasure dialog box to fix on large 

  fonts/800x600 mode screen.



 Encounter Sheet Printout - Fixed so that "Treasure" heading doesnt

  print if there is no treasure to print.  Fixed so that it doesnt 

  print extra/blank last pages out.



 2-20 Table Printout - Added 2-20 labels on each line item and 

  appropriate column headings.



- Fixed a bug in the Priest Spells section where if they memorized a 

  lot of the same spell it would not print out the spells or any page

  after that.



 Treasure Bundle Printout - Fixed so equipment items dont print as 

  armor.

  Removed "Custom".  Added group type (ex. Scroll) 



 Character Printout - Fixed high Wisdom ability score so that the

  Spell Immunity printed the list of spells 

  (first page under ability scores). 

  Fixed other cosmetics with the character sheet printout.





Map Maker fixes:



- Corrections to Custom tile functionality

- Corrected color shift bug when rotating tiles

- Added missing 3D objects

- Corrected bugs with multiple section maps

- Corrected map load bug
