-- v2.1 - 8th October --
////////////////////////

- Based on the situation after the European GP

-- How to Install --
////////////////////

Unzip the ZIP-package to a temporary directory. You'll need GP2edit v1.82
to install the included *.GP2 file. Load it to the editor and choose
"Export to Game".

To install the non-tobacco cars, run NONTOB99.EXE at DOS-command prompt.

To add Mika Salo to Ferrari instead of Michael Schumacher, run SALOFERR.EXE at
the DOS-command prompt.

To install the '99 style car shape, you'll need the Car Shape Editor v0.98.
Load the *.dat file to editor and choose "Export".

And then start playing...

-- About Season 99 --
/////////////////////

This add-on will update the GP2 game to season 1999 as opposed to the 1994
cars the game is packed with. This will make your playing through out the
season, I hope, more interesting.

Because of technical limitations in Grand Prix 2, two extra teams have had
to be included (Tyrrell and Honda). Therefore there will be 26 runners as
opposed to the 22 actually running in season 99.

This add-on contains:
 - New cars
 - New helmets
 - New car and driver performances
 - New cockpit colours
 - New pitcrew colors
 - New pitbox order
 - New Bridgestone tyres
 - New marshals and chequered flag man
 - New starting lights
 - Bridgestone trackgraphics
 - Driver pictures for the driver selection screen
 - Support for all versions of GP2

The installation will change the following files:
- gp2.exe, f1gstate.sav and bitmaps\f1pcsvga.bin
- Cars', helmets', tyres' and marshals' JAM files

If you have important data saved from previous games of GP2, please
remember to take a backup of this data first.

-- Troubleshooting --
/////////////////////

Loading a hotlap or replay will delete the current game settings. After the
installation you may save a hotlap and load it to restore the correct
settings.

If you are unable to install this product or you have some other problems,
it's worth re-installing the game (use the full install option!).
