Patch History

V1.01   (Released to the mass audience)
------
Use realistic turn rates.  Rudder will be set to 10 degrees for ordered course 
changes unless ordered via the rudder indicator.
Turn rate (in degrees per second) will be calculated using rudder angle
times speed in kts times a constant (0.022).

Use realistic torpedo reload times.  Time to load from an empty tube will be 
8 minutes.  Time to unload a tube will be 10 minutes.

Fire control display of the torpedo uses a blue acoustic cone until the torpedo 
goes active at which point the cone is drawn as red.


V1.02   (Never released to the mass audience)

Fixes a bug in the towed array.  
Unable to designate new contacts from broadband after 4 trackers assigned.

V1.04	(Never released to the mass audience)
------
This patch includes all previous patches including the realism patch.

First, is the random placement of objects in scenarios, which was believed to be 
fixed by the previous patch, is now actually fixed.
This actually makes the scenarios more "dynamic".

The second bug was a problem running on nVidia RIVA based video boards 
(with hardware acceleration on) is now fixed.  The game should be fully functional 
on such platforms.


V1.05   (Intended for release to the public)
------
This patch includes all previous patches including the realism patch.

Players with this patch will only be able to multiplayer against other people with
the patch.  Players without the patch will not appear in the connection screen.
In order to verify the version number of your 688(I) executable.  Right-click on
the 688_HK.exe, 688_HKF.exe(French), or 688_HKG.exe(German) in explorer and choose
"Properties".  Under the "Version" tab, the File Version should read 1.05.

How to install it:
 1. You will need some kind of unzip program to extract this file. Any kind of program that 
    will extract "zip" format files will be fine.
 2. Using the extraction program, extract the files to the 688i folder, making sure to overwrite the 688I_Hk file.

 3. Then run the game.
