NOTES:
*************************

Motorhead dedicated server for use with the p1.4 client.

This server doesn't use DirectPlay at all. It's a completely new protcol based on WinSock UDP.
The performance and ping is a lot better than the old DP IPX and TCP/IP.
Even the LAN performance should be better and it's much fairer to use a dedicated server
even over a LAN due to the fact that the server player always has an edge.

*************************
CHANGES FROM v1.4:
*************************

* Now support for up to 12 players over LAN and internet
12 players can be a bit to much for the modem players though, especially at the start of
the race, so they might have to set a lower /rate or change to another server

* Score clearing by majority vote

* /msg  , message a single player

* /msgteam , message your team only

* /msgrace , send a message to the racing players, "Hurry up guys!" or something :)

* Some of the lobby server commands now works during a race too

* "StepTrack" flag added to the server.cfg, combine with "LockTrack" to make the server
cycle through the tracks specified in server.cfg

* The server sends some statistics to the client at the end of a race.
Last race statistics accessible by holding down TAB in the lobby

* Added the control-spline files for the new reverse tracks, enable them in server.cfg

* Fixed a bug where a "ghost client" could crash the server, thanx PA

*************************
SERVER:
*************************

1. If you want to start more than one server on the same machine with different
settings you should make new config files and pass them to every motorsv.exe

2. Check and edit the config file(s) to your liking.

3. Start the server(s) by running "motorsv.exe" or "motorsv.exe server.cfg"
If you start with just "motorsv.exe" the server will try to load "server.cfg" from
   the same directory

Example of more than one server:

motorsv.exe server1.cfg
motorsv.exe server2.cfg
motorsv.exe server3.cfg
e.t.c.

MOTORHEAD dedicated server(s) should now be up and running.

Type "/help" or "/commands" in console for a server command list
and "/quit" to terminate the server

When a race is in progress the usual commands will not work, you can force the players
back to the lobby by typing /lobby or /quit to terminate the server though.

Config examples:

To setup a 1on1 MH server:

MaxPlayers 2
MinReady 2

To setup a 2on2 MH server:

MaxPlayers 4
MinReady 4

To disallow the Serpent:

UnlockedCars 9

To make the server cycle trough the tracks automatically with each race:

Remove the "//" infront of

StepTrack
LockTrack

KNOWN PROBLEMS:
*************************

If you set up more than one server on the same machine you should have at least 50 port numbers between
them. This is because the server will attempt to use the portnumbers above the connect port for the
client connections (nice to know if you plan to set up a server behind a proxy/firewall).

Example:

SessionName Server1 // Session name
PortNumber 16000 // Port

SessionName Server2 // Session name
PortNumber 16050 // Port

SessionName Server3 // Session name
PortNumber 16100 // Port

etc.

The server log times may differ a bit from the client times due to latency to the server.
