Instructions For Using The Chuckie Egg Level Editor V1.2
   ---------------------------------------------------

Installing:

Unzip the files in to a new directory and that's about
  all you do.

Using the editor:

The actual editor is straight forward. A list of .txt files will
appear in the top left corner of the screen. You can either
choose one of these and edit it or click 'New File'. Please note that
the present version of level editor doesn't support bird start
direction, so you probably won't be able to open 'altlevels.txt'

When saving, choose the name of your levels file in the bottom right
  and click 'Save file'.

Tools:

All the tools that appear in the game are in the bottom left.
These are tools like seed, egg, brick and ladder and some new ones
for use with Chuckie Egg Version 1.01. Select the tool you want
and then click the mouse where you want to put it. To delete a square
right click over the area you want to delete.

Lifts, Birds and The Man Himself:

To put down a lift (or elevator) type in the coordinates in to the
box below (An elevator only has an X coordinate).
For the birds you write in their coordinates in the boxes
(Coordinates start in the bottom left of the screen). If you give a
bird coordinates over 0 the bird will appear where it will start in
  the actual game.
The wierd yellow bloke is placed in much the same way except his
coordinates start in the top left corner and are measured in pixels.

Copy And Paste:

You can copy a whole level and then paste it over another to save
copying things manually. This also copies the positions of the birds,
  elevator and the yellow bloke.

Insert New Level:

The 'Insert New Level' button inserts a blank level between the one
you are editing and the following level.

Test Level Button:

The test level button in the bottom left of the editor saves the
level you are currently working on into a temporary file and starts
chuckie egg so that you can play test the level. When you have
finished testing the level, close chuckie egg and continue editing.
The temporary file is deleted automatically.

If you do make any interesting levels then you can send them
to the creator of Win95 Chuckie Egg, Mike Elson, at
           mike.elson@deathsdoor.com

If he doesn't want them then you can send them to
pete_b@lineone.net and you may even get a reply.

If you have any suggestions for improvements or any ideas for
anything else I should program then send them to...
