                         JustTetris v1.0 <FREEWARE>
                      Copyright (c) 1997 Jere Sanisalo

 [Introduction]

Everyone has heard about tetris, the famous falling block-game. Well, here is
yet another clone, this one is for MS Windows 95. Actaully there is nothing
special about this one. Why does a clone always need to have something
different and new? Well, this one doesn't.. :) But still, it's tetris, and who
wouldn't like a nice tetris game once for a while.

 [System requirements]

JustTetris requires at least the following:
MS Windows 95 (or NT) operating system
MS Direct X 5 (or newer)
    Keyboard

Recommended:
    Pentium processor
Hi- or True-color mode (65k or 16m colors, 8-bit looks crappy)

 [Installation]

Just unzip, and run JTETRIS.EXE, and you're set to go (if all went ok).

 [Instructions]

These are for those, who can't think yet.

Okay, so you start the game with the F1 button (beware, you can re-start even
while you're already playing!). Pressing the ESC gives you a quick exit (every
program should have one of these ;).

You control the block with ARROW LEFT and ARROW RIGHT keys. It rotates with
ARROW UP or SHIFT (counter-clockwise). With CTRL the block rotates clockwise.
It falls with ARROW DOWN.

The main idea of tetris, is to arrange the falling pieces so, that they fill
a line wholy (from left to right). When a line is filled, it will disappear,
and thus, any block over it will fall by one. The game keeps going like this,
and getting faster, until you reach the upper area of the field. (u'know, it's
the standard tetris procedure ;)

 [Legal]

To keep the boring stuff short: Use this how you like, but you must distribute
ONLY the original package. The author is not liable for any damages/benefits
caused by this program. No money must be charged for this program (or it's
use). The other main freeware-principles apply.

 [Why a tetris]

Many people may wonder why I made a tetris-clone, and not something new and
innovative. Well the reasons are simple. I'm (or was) developing my own game-
programming libraries for Windows 95 (and NT), and I needed to test them
somewhere. Tetris is a VERY simple game to program, so I decided to test them
on it.

See? I told you it was simple.. :)
