Description             : A castle styled medieval level for
                          QUAKE. I tried to make this map some
                          way different from my previous maps
                          and from all the other maps out there.
                          I don't know whether I succeeded or
                          not, but it's up to you to decide
                          that :) A skill selecting map isn't
                          included, but you can always use
                          setskill.bsp if you have that :)

Single Player           : Yes
Cooperative             : Yes (Up to 16 players) 
Deathmatch              : Yes (16 starts, extra weapons, ammo,
                               and health with the keyed door
                               removed. I've also added stairs
                               to the first room of the map just
                               to get that shotgun in DM :)
Difficulty Settings     : Yes (Again, I tried to keep those like
                               they are in Quake. Easy is *very*
                               easy. Normal is kind of average
                               and hard is very difficult and
                               challenging :)

* How to play this map *

Just unzip hellctle.zip to quake\id1\maps directory (create, if necessary).
Then launch Quake, go to the console and type:

map castle
                   Or start Quake with the following command:
quake +map castle

* Other Info *

This is my second map I made with Worldcraft. I've included some different
stuff to this map, that you haven't seen in my previous maps. I tried to
get some different kind of feel to this map by including a room, that was
builded with wizard textures, but the rest of the map is medieval. Also,
my previous map (Death Church) was a bit linear and sort of 'boxy', so
I've tried to improve those things in this map. Also the deathmatch play
should be a lot better in this map, than it is in Death Church.

OK, you start from the storage room of the castle (just try to get that
double barreled shotgun there :) and take a swim to the main room of the
whole thing. From there on you fight, FIGHT through the sewers to get the
golden key to take you deeper to the castle. Don't be too scared when you
walk down that one hallway there. You'll feel like a "close" friend is
watching you every step of the way... Oh, and the exit then... Hmm... :)
Just be prepared to face some azure agony on the way through...

************ IMPORTANT - read this before playing the map ***************

This map might just run a bit slow on a slower system, when going through
those larger rooms of the map. For those who have a P60 or something like
that, I recommend you use the -winmem16 at the end of the command line
when starting up Quake, like this:

quake -winmem16

Even if it slows down, that doesn't matter, because it doesn't slow down
too much. But, even for those who have a slightly faster system: You
should use that -winmem16 just to make sure it doesn't slow down to get
the maximum excitement out of the map :)
