*** A Civilization II Map by Sherry K. Shaw ***

1. Installation
1.A. The files--Mystery1.zip should contain the following two files:
            mystery1.mp (the map)
            mystery1.txt (this file)
1.B. A place for the files--If you haven't already created a subdirectory for your extra CivII maps, create a directory in which to unzip mystery1.zip (i.e., \civ2\mystery1). (Unzipping straight into your CivII directory won't hurt anything, but keeping spare maps in their own directory helps avoid clutter and confusion.)
1.C. Unzipping--Unzip mystery1.zip into your new directory. (WinZip will let you create a new directory at the same time you unzip a file.)
1.D. Getting ready to play--COPY mystery1.mp into your CivII directory. (That way, you can just delete it out of \civ2 when you're done, and you'll still have a backup copy.)
1.E. Using mystery1.mp--Start CivII. Select "Start on pre-made world." Select "mystery1.mp" from the list. Answer "No" to any questions about randomizing stuff. Pick a guy and everything as usual. You're now on Mystery World #1.

2. Miscellaneous stuff
2.A. The planet--Mystery World #1 was shaped by strange forces, including plate tectonics, meteor impacts, and significant quantities of Samuel Adams Cream Stout.
2.B. The climate--The poles are cold. The equator is hot. For the sake of simplicity, I have assumed prevailing winds always blowing from west to east, so land west of mountain ranges is wetter than land east of them, and so on.
2.C. The usual disclaimer--This map is provided AS-IS, with no promises or commitments. Don't come whining to me if your computer explodes.
2.D. Comments--E-mail your comments or suggestions to TenMoons@aol.com.

Have fun!
