This is the unregistered shareware version 4.0s of the Multiplayer Master of
Magic Shell (MMoMS), a third-party multiplayer utility, editor, and scenario
generator for Microprose's Masters of Magic v1.31 (commercial).

MMoMS provides for hot-seat play between multiple human and computer
opponents, limited to 2 human and 3 computer opponents in the shareware
version, with up to 5 human opponents supported in the registered version.
Full support for modem-to-modem games is provided with registration.

MMoMS includes a pop-up editor which allows editing & moving of MoM's objects
(cities, towers, lairs, nodes, units, & terrain) simply by pointing at them
with the mouse while playing & pressing a hot-key. Automatically updates
cross-references & checks for valid ranges in most cases.

MMoMS includes the ability to generate multiplayer or single player scenarios
using combinations of maps and wizards generated with the editor. The
scenarios, which may include an online view-able description, may be used &
customized by other MMoMS users.

MMoMS features:

*Mouse-driven interface.
*Modem support provided with registration.
*A full-featured pop-up terrain-based editor and scenario generation/use
functions which can be used while playing by pointing at objects with the
mouse.
*Multiplayer play--up to 5 humans and computers (limited to 2 humans & 3
computers in shareware version).
*MMoMS enforced options such as whether to allow the Spell of Mastery.
*A MMoMS maintained file system of wizards, maps, scenarios, & multiplayer
games.

MMoMS requires Masters of Magic v.131. If you have an earlier version (the
number is in the readme file), you should obtain Microprose's patch to v1.31
first--you can find this online with the keyword MICROPROSE.

CHANGES FROM v3.xx.

*Includes a pop-up editor & scenario generation functions.
*Exploration now kept track of separately.
*Negligle in-between turn time (below 1 second on my system).
*Raiders & rampagers move only once per round.
*Fully normalized diplomatic relations--no "Address the Council" sub-turn.
*No "ghost wizard"--five total wizards in play.
*Full modem support with registration.
*All spells now appear to function normally.
*No need for hot-keys--kicks in when you click on "Next Turn".
*All sound configurations equally fast.
*Various minor fixes & features.
*The only known functional difference from normal play left is that the
computer will still control your units in combat if you are attacked on
someone else's turn.

To use MMoMS, unzip it into your MoM directory and follow the directions
provided in "mmoms.txt".

*Note: Microprose was in no way involved in its production or distribution,
will not support it or any changes it might make, and is in no way liable for
any damages it might cause.*
