To use this patch copy all the files in the zip to your mayhem directory
on your hard drive.

What's new in 1.1:

* IMPROVED WALKING! It is now 1000% easier to control characters in groups.
Yes, we did listen to you and have fixed the major control problem that many of you
were having.

* Revised Map Layouts: some levels had to undergo revision to get the new walking
routine to work with them, so many maps have had minor changes to them.

* A new Settings.Exe fixes problems people had with changes to the Settings program
not being saved.

Known Problems:
* On some video cards, such as the Diamond Edge 3D, the game begins
with a black screen and appears to crash. This is because the video card
can't support the mode that the video plays in. Switch off the videos in
the settings.exe program and the game will run fine.

* Some video cards do not play the movies. This is because the video card
can't support the mode that the video plays in. Switch off the videos in
the settings.exe program and the game will run fine.

* The Flags in multi-player Capture Flag have too few of Hit Points.
This is being addressed in a future patch.

* Eight Player support should be included in the 1.1.1 patch, along with
a few new multiplayer maps.

* If you find that you are experiencing irregularities in the Multi-
Player games, make sure that everyone is playing off the same version
of Total Mayhem. The date of the version 1.1.EXE is 7/9/96.

Total Mayhem Version 1.1 Patch

What's Fixed in 1.0.2:

* In the installed directory, you will find a *** SETTINGS.EXE *** program that
enables you to set up the following options:

  - Change the path where the movies are played from. This enables you
to play the movies from CD, and not be forced to install them to your
  hard disk.

  - Utilize one of two alternate executables for Total Mayhem. The first
one, NO H SCROLL, should be used if you get the following error when
running the game: Can't Initialize VESA Mode 100. If this does work
  try the next option instead.

  - The other option, USE640X480, should be used if your video is not
working properly when you run the game (multiple windows, no monitor
sync, etc.). This may also solve the Can't Initialize VESA Mode 100 problem
if the previous switch (NO H SCROLL) did not work.
(If it is necessary for you to use this switch to get the game to
play, the lo-res movies will not play, and you must play the hi-res
movies. Do not have both this option and the Small Movies option
  checked.)

  - You can also switch off the videos from playing completely. This is
useful on some cards which can't support the proper video modes.

* Some users using Windows 3.XX have experienced a "Midi Out Open"
error and could not get sound. This problem is now fixed.

* Minor gitches on levels 17 and 6 fixed.
* 6 players on level 20 problem fixed

What is fixed in version 1.0.1:

* The Scitech driver tends to autodetect video cards better.

* (This point is outdated by the 1.0.2 patch)

* Does not enable players in a Multi-player game to use weapons that
they are not carrying. (If this doesn't make sense to you, don't
  worry about it).

* The objectives for level 10 are in the proper order now, and are
  clearer.

* The credits for Creat Studio are now inserted correctly.

Thanks for your patience.
