A Letter from Doug Littlejohns
------------------------------

Things are really beginning to happen now as we approach the six month
deadline before the release of our first two games in the Fall. According
to plan, the company is also expanding rapidily. When we started out on
this exciting venture we numbered 19 souls and by the first of March we
will be up to 27 -- i.e., nearly 150 percent of our original size in just
four short months. A senior addition to the team is Caroline Campbell, who
has joined us recently as our Financial Controller to keep close track of
the pennies. A profile of Caroline will appear in April, as this month we
are introducing you to Steve Reid, our Vice President of Creative Design.

Obviously, our September games are fully manned, but we are still looking
for a lead artist with the right skills set to grip our Easter '98 release.
We have had a lot of applications but we have yet to find the right person
who has a good selection of the following:

 - Experience in art direction and the ability to manage art resources
 - Real-time 3-D animation and modelling skills
 - Experience in the games industry

If you feel that you can meet most of the above, or you know someone who
can, please get in touch with us. The game will be the early flagship of
Red Storm Entertainment and will involve working closely with Tom Clancy
and a host of experts from certain government departments from several
countries of the world. For further details, see our employment page.

In March, we will also begin recuiting a Webmaster to work full time on our
site and a number of others which we plan to launch later in the year. We
are looking for this person to start work towards the end of April. Once
again, this position will require working very closely with Tom Clancy as
we increase his visibility in the games business. For details see the
employment page.

As you will see from Tom's letter, he has dropped the odd hint to you
gaming sleuths about the possible settings for one of our September
products. Texans will be interested to know that our other launch this year
will be closely associated with their state and its worldwide reputation.
Don't worry -- you won't need to buy a ten-gallon hat to play!

Last week, Frank Boosman, Vice President of Product Marketing, presented at
the Red Herring conference in Atlanta before embarking on a media tour back
in his home territory on the West Coast. At the same time, Tom and I are
out of the office in serious negotiations with a number of our potential
strategic partners, one of which will help us to build this company into a
multi-million dollar business over the next few years.

Finally, for those of you who are bursting with game ideas, we will shortly
be going off-site to brainstorm and settle on the set of products on which
we will begin work in September of this year. If you have an idea for a
really cool game, do please let us know, as we will factor your input into
our decision making process.

Steve Reid on Steve Reid
------------------------

Philosophy: When it comes right down to it, I get paid to draw. What can be
better than that?

Family: Ive got two families, one by blood and one by marriage. I think
theyre both still amazed that I can do this for a living. The highlight of
my family tree is the new Reid to be born this July. Angela and I are
expecting our first.

Education: Masters in Fine Art, East Carolina University. Not a week goes
by without my appreciation of the people I knew or the skills I learned at
ECU. The disciplines I studied were not in pixels and polygons, they were
in design and drawing -- printmaking to be specific. This traditional
background has reinforced my beliefs that no special effect can correct a
design flaw.

Work History: Out of the dozen or so jobs that come to mind, only one was
not art related -- and that one only lasted three days. I believe that all
of my previous jobs have given me valuable experience and a lasting
appreciation in informing and entertaining the public. Whether the work has
been for personal artistic satisfaction or mass communication, I believe
that there is no greater satisfaction than knowing that someone (whom Ive
never met) is somewhere (where I may never travel) seeing my work for the
first time.

Team Members: The best thing I can do as an Art Director is to surround
myself with people I admire and respect. Each member of Red Storms art
staff brings in their special skills and interests. Over the next few
months you will meet these individuals though our Web page. And if you have
those special skills were looking for, I would be happy to add your name
to the list.

Advice: To summarize my typical soap-box speech... Learn to "throw away"
your work. Sometimes it's much easier to start with a clean page. Art is an
evolving process from thumbnail sketches to a finished piece. Dont be
afraid to leave behind your first ideas. And always design before you draw.
They are two very different beasts. Both are difficult to master and maintain.
