FX Fighter - Players Guide

The notation used to describe the moves will make more sense after youve read 
this:

F - Forward, moving towards your opponent
B - Back off, away from your opponent
U - Up
D - Down
P - Punch
K - Kick
+ - And (e.g. Jump + Kick is jump and kick together)
> - Into (perform next move while first is in execution)
lower case letter - Quick tap on the controller
UPPER CASE LETTER - Hold controller briefly
/ - Diagonal direction (e.g. P/U for jump towards opponent)
Jump - Jumping direction


JAKE
Hes hard and hes fast. Its somewhat surprising then that he doesnt have any 
special moves - but fear not! He does have a devastating range of grabs, kicks, 
Shoulder Charges and slaps to beat the opposition to a rendered pulp of quivering, 
erm, pulp. Hes a tough cookie and probably the best-looking fighter in the ring.

MAGNON
Hes handy at barbecues and just loves giving big hugs to all his friends. Apart 
from a severe case of crusty eczema, Magnon has a variety of big monster-type 
moves, not least of which is his impressive Lava Breath, which he uses to 
impress the ladies at the end of the evening. He may only have two combos, but 
that doesnt stop him being unnervingly hard.

SHEBA
Catwoman has nothing on Sheba. Apart from having the same name as that 
expensive cat food (the one that it would seem you have to serve with a ridiculous 
garnish), she has some pretty awesome combos. Being half-tiger, these are best 
served from all-fours, with a garnish of claws and a nice side-order of Face Rakes. 
Mmmmmm... good stuff.

CYBEN
He may not have the best outfit in the game or much in the way of personality or, 
come to think of it, ears, but that doesnt mean hes not upset about it. In fact, hes 
very upset, and hes made of metal, so everybody had just better watch it or he 
might start spinning around and strutting his fancy cybernetic stuff. Cyben doesnt
have combos, as such - just rapid repeats of standard moves. They do heaps of 
damage, so its well worth taking the time to master them.

KIKO
Kiko was obviously on her way to some kind of nightclub when the galactic 
gauntlet was thrown down. Dressed in little more than something very little, she 
has an endless supply of Throwing Stars and a flourishing line in red underwear. 
Though tricky to master, Kikos rapid kicking techniques are the best in the game, 
and with our handy guide at your fingertips, it shouldnt take you long to get to 
grips with this character. So to speak.

SIREN
Shes fast, very fast. And she comes from a world entirely covered by ocean, so 
she can swim pretty well too. This evil water spirit has some great throws and a 
very rapid rate of attack, as well as hair of such a shocking purple that even the 
most staunch Prince fan would have a hard time liking it. Wig-styles aside, 
though, Siren is one of the easiest characters to master in the game.	*

ASHRAF
Its a meditating, master monk who likes punching people! He may not seem very 
spiritual to you, especially with all that kicking and fireballing going on, but 
Ashraf is actually a really nice bloke. Hes just misunderstood. Anyway, if you 
want to win with him, then you need to get to grips with the Energy Push and the 
Fireball - his two most useful attacks. The Energy Push is great for scoring a ring-
out. Not very glamourous, but, hey, if it works...

VENAM
The only bug in the game! Venam has tiny legs, so hes a bit poor in the kicking 
department, but take the lift up a floor, to Arm Strikes and Holds and youll 
find a huge selection of nasty and effective moves. The Face Bite is pretty sick, 
and you would do well to perfect the Poison Spitting, which is perfect for long-
range attacks. He sure aint pretty, but neither is Sylvester Stallone, and everyone 
seems to like him.
