Troubleshooting
---------------
Problem : The game does not respond to the mouse.
Solution : Make sure that you have a mouse driver installed. Refer to your
           mouse manual for details. Windows is also known to cause problems
           with the mouse control. Make sure that you have followed the
           procedure described in "How to launch Cubism from Windows".

Problem : There is no music! And YES, I have a soundcard.
Solution : Windows is known to cause problems with the soundsystem. Make sure
           you have followed the procedure proposed in "How to launch Cubism
           from Windows" if running from windows.
           Cubism finds your soundcard by reading your enviroment variables.
           Usually the driver installprogram for your soundcard inserts the
           enviroment label in your "autoexec.bat". Type SET to see if they
           are available. If neither BLASTER or ULTRASND are available you can
           enter them manually by typing:

           For Soundblaster cards:

           SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 T6 P330 H6 E620
                       =    =  =  =  =    =  =
                       =    =  =  =  =    =  ===== AWE32 parameter
                       =    =  =  =  =    ======== High DMA channel
                       =    =  =  =  ============= Midi port
                       =    =  =  ================ Card version
                       =    =  =================== Low DMA channel
                       =    ====================== IRQ number
                       =========================== Port address

           For Gravis Ultrasound Cards:

           SET ULTRASND=220,1,1,7,5
                        =   = = = =
                        =   = = = ================ Midi IRQ
                        =   = = ================== Ultrasound IRQ
                        =   = ==================== Record DMA channel
                        =   ====================== Play DMA channel
                        ========================== Port address

           Your settings probaly differ from these, so please consult your
           manual, configure program or whatever for the right values.

Problem : Cubism refuses to start with a "Soundcard init failed" message.
Solution : Your soundcard enviroment variable dosn't correspond with your
           hardware settings. Try starting with "cubism -nosound" or read the
           above topic.

Problem : The game drops out with a "Disk I/O failure".
Solution : Oh-oh! Try to reinstall Cubism. Apperently a file is missing or has
           been damaged.

Problem : The game will not start and throws a "Unable to allocate memory"
           message at me.
Solution : Free more XMS or EMS memory by removing diskcaches etc. This
           problem is probaly very rare on 8 MB and above systems.

Problem : The music is choppy.
Solution : Windows can cause this problem. Please follow the instructions
           under "How to launch Cubism from Windows" if you are running from
           Windows. If that dosn't help you can always run the game without
           sound by starting it with the -nosound commandline parameter.

Problem : Cubism hangs my computer!
Solution : Make sure that you have followed the procedure mentioned under
           "How to launch Cubism from Windows" if running under Windows. If
           Windows isn't the problem, the trouble is probaly caused by
           incompatibility between your soundcard and Cubism. In that case try
           starting the game with "cubism -nosound".
