New features of the 2,1 DK Notes version (99/11/05)

Find Note

-When viewing the found notes on the display window the word(s) entered to be found will be highlighted in red.

Windows 2000

-The bugs that occurred while the 2.0 version program ran in Windows 2000 has been fixed.

The Send Note window

-The error that occurred with the drag & drop has been fixed.

Hot Keys

-The error that occurred with hot keys has been corrected.

-Hot keys have been added to the note menu:

 Alt+N(New Note), Alt+B(Background Color), Alt+Z(Add to Binder), Alt+T(Tools), Alt+S(Style), Alt+C(Text Color), Alt+F(Text Size) ,Alt+A(Text Alignment), Alt+D(Date/Time)

New features of the 2.0 DK Notes version (99/05/30).

Program Name Change:

We changed the name of this program from DK Z-Note to DK Notes sorry for any confusion.

Sending Notes:

-In this version the label "Send Mail" has been changed to "Send Note".

-We enabled the use of (TCP/IP) to send notes over the Internet. (Note in Use-> Send Note-> Internet)

-We added a box to enter IP addresses. (Note in Use -> Send Note -> Internet)

-A status box showing the status of a note being sent has been added as well as a cancel option.

-The problem of not being able to send a part of a note has been fixed.

-In the user address box we have made it possible to use the drag & drop function. (Note in Use-> Send Note)

-Enter your real name in 'Environment Settings' and it will be shown in the note being sent. (Environment-> User/Send Note)

Editing Notes:

-The feature to set the size of the new note has been added. (Environment-> New Note)

-A Note Lock function has been added. (Note in Use Menu-> Binder)

-You can choose to have the status bar attached to the notes or not. (Environment-> Option)

-A selection of User Color has been added for the use of up to 16 users in order to keep track of different users' notes. (Environment-> Option)

(This feature can be used for Background color, New Note Background color, New Note, and Random Background color.)

-A Copy Note function has been added. (Note in Use Menu->Binder)

Finding Notes:

-You can change the size of the "Find Note" window.

-You can adjust the size of the "Note" and "List" window.

Managing Alarms:

-You can change the size of the "Alarm Manager " window.

-You can adjust the size of the "Note" and "List" window.

Other Functions and Environment Control:

-In Windows NT we enabled the sounds to come from the speakers. (Environment-> Sounds)

-On the Logo screen the information of all the notes are shown. (Main Menu-> About DK Notes)

-When the alarm rings we have enabled you to be able to go directly to the particular note the alarm is ringing for. (Double click)

-You can change the color when you make a new note. (Environment-> Sounds)

-In 'Environment Setup' a "User/Send Note" tab has been added. (Environment-> User/Send Note)

-The Alarm Manager has been added to the Hot Key List.

-A 'Custom User Colors' of 16 colors has been added to help in managing all the users. (Environment-> New Note)

-You can arrange the Desktop Notes. (Note in Use Menu-> Arrange Notes)

New features of the 1.9 DK Notes version (98/12/16).

-You can keep the sender information long after the note has been sent to you.

A More Powerful Network Mailing Function:

-You can select a lot of notes and move them to the screen.

-When you receive a note you can send a reply right away.

A More Powerful Binder Function:

-You can save to a Binder File. (Extension ZBI)

-You can incorporate DK Notes data files.
 (DKZNOTE.I, DKZNOTE.D or DKZNOTE.I2, DKZNOTE.D2)

Editing Notes:

-You can save Note files. (Extension ZNO)
-The User can set the note title color.
-You can select text by clicking the left mouse button and dragging across the text you want.
-A title has been added.
[To fix or change the title, click on the Title Bar twice slowly or use the Change title on the menu.]
[When you make a new note and are about to enter a title, go to the Environment Setting to the Option and check the "New note made with the title to be entered" box.]
-A scroll bar has been added.
-A Status Bar has been added.
-Hide/Show Note has been added.
-Go to Back/Front note has been added.
-A Find Function in the notes has been added.
-A Replace Function in the notes has been added.
-We have enabled the program to be able to insert character at the cursor's position.

New features of the 1.2 DK Notes version (97/12/15).

A More Powerful Network Mailing Function:

-It is faster.
-You can find out whether the DK Notes program is used or not on the other computer the mail is being sent to.
-You can manage between groups.
-When you receive mail the sender¡¯s name, date and time is shown on the Title Bar.
-A "Delete after sent" option has been added.

A More Powerful Print Function:

-It is possible to print larger or smaller.
-You can print a selected page out of all the pages.
-You can now make Headers and Foot notes.
-You can set the print space on the paper.

A Better Binder:

-A menu and a status bar have been added.
-Documents can be added right to the Binders.
-In the Note List you can see the title by moving the cursor over the listed note.
-In the Note List you can sort the list.
-You can enter the present Date and Time.

Note Properties

-You can set the background and text color before hand.
-If you place the pointer on the title bar you can see the note information.
-To minimize the note double click the title bar and the same to the icon to restore
-You can add the present time and date the note with a quick function.

A More Powerful Alarm Function:

-An Every Year, Every Month, and Every So Minute alarm has been added.
-To make the Alarm Function more powerful we have made it possible to set the alarm for any day and for it to ring on that day in any chosen weeks from a month. Eg. set for Thursdays every 1^st and 3^rd week of the month.

A More Powerful Environment Setting:

-You can set the Sound on or off.

The Bugs Fixed:

-The problem of the files not going into the Trash Bin after being deleted has been fixed.
-The problem of Quit not working in Windows NT has been fixed.
-The problem of the form changing when started has been fixed.
-The problem of the print function not working has been fixed.
-The problem of the note overflowing the screen has been fixed.
-The problem of title overflowing the Go To list window has been fixed.

-It supports Network. (It can send and receive notes from other computers.)

-You can set many alarms at one time. (Every so many hours, Every so many days, Monday, Tuesday...Every particular day etc., with a lot of alarms you can set the alarms to any important memos or appointments.)
-You can use various background colors. (You can change the background color to anything you want.)
-You can control the text style easily. (If you set the text style you can change from one to another easily.)
-You can group notes into a binder. (You can bind together notes according to the subject such as phone # memos, appointment time memo, etc.)
-You can find notes very easily.
