            living in Indianapolis with his
            manager Craig Pollock while he
            was in Indycar...)

COMPETITION HISTORY
===========================================

Attended the Jim Russell Formula Ford
School (Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, Canada) in
1986. 

Move to the Formula 2000 racing School in
Shannoville, Canada, in 1987. 

In 1988, he competed three races in the
Alfa Italian Touring Car Championship. 

From 1989 to 1991, he raced in Formula 3000
in Italy. 

In 1992, he finished second in the japanese
F3 Series and finished third at the Macau
F3 Grand Prix. 

Also in 1992, Players Lmtd. Canada asked
Jacques to make his North American racing
debut at Le Grand prix de Trois-Riviere in
Formula Atlantic. 

In 1993, he joined the Forsyth/Green Team
for the Formula Atlantic Series. With five
victories and seven poles, he challenged
for the championship but had to settle for
third. He was named TA Rookie-Of-The-Year. 

In 1994 Jacques Villeneuve join the Team
Green for his Indycar Racing debut. He
finished second and was named
Rookie-Of-The-Year at the Indianapolis 500. 

He won his first Indycar race at Elkhart
Lake , 11th September 1994. He was named
PPG Rookie-Of-The-Year for 1994 season. 

In 1995 he won the 1995 Grand prix of Miami 
He won the 1995 Indianapolis 505 (With a
penalty of two laps, Jacques won the race).
He was the first Canadian to won that
famous race. 

He start first and won at Elkhart Lake. He
won hid fourth race of the year at Cleveland 

At the end of the Laguna seka Race, Jacques
was named the PPG Indycar Champion. He
broke two records : He was the first
canadian and he was the youngest to win in
Indycar. 

August 1, 2 and 3 1995, Jacques Villeneuve
do his first test driving aboard of a
Williams at the Silverstone Track. 

He wanted to try a Formula One before any
decision about his future. Frank Williams
was there to see him. He was very impressed
by Jacques's times. 

On August 10th 1995, Jacques annonced his
plan to move to Formula One circuit. Two
weeks later, he confimed that he had signed
with Team Williams/Renault.
