Did you know? The life expectancy of a Formula 1 motor is
never greater than 500 km. A leading team will use 70 to
80 motors during the 17-event Grand Prix season.

A Formula 1 motor is made up of more than 3,000 parts,
including 600 different references. Assembling the engine
requires a week of work for two full-time mechanics.

Once assembled, each engine must be laboratory tested
before it is mounted on the chassis.
