Benetton unveils the new B195

Benetton Formula today (January 30) presented the line-up
of the Mild Seven Benetton Renault team and unveiled the new
Mild Seven Benetton Renault B195 car for 1995 at Benetton's
headquarters in Treviso, Italy.

The team, which secured its first championship in 1994 when
Michael Schumacher won the drivers' world title, will be
defending this title and hoping to add the constructors'
championship during 1995 as well.

Both Luciano Benetton, President of Benetton Group, and
Alessandro Benetton, President of Benetton Formula, were
present at the launch.

Alessandro said: "Our name has continued to grow on the
international stage. Michael Schumacher's great success in
1994 with Benetton Formula gave the company levels of
exposure far greater than we imagined. I would also like to
add that our victory last season was made possible as a
result of the continuous hard work by everybody at the
Benetton Formula headquarters in Enstone. We are looking
forward to more success in 1995, both on the track and off
it."

The team's newest asset is the technical partnership with
the French car manufacturer Renault. They will provide the
team with a supply of their highly successful V10 Formula
One engines. Patrick Faure, President of Renault Sport,
said: "Renault are very confident and pleased about the
partnership with Benetton, including the international
image that Benetton enjoys. We are looking forward to
working with them."

Benetton Formula's Managing Director, Flavio Briatore,
said: "Last year, we established ourselves as a world class
team. In 1995 we are on the verge of achieving even greater
success on the track.

"This comes as a result of our new partnership with
Renault, a continued association with our partners and a
strong driver line-up."

World champion Michael Schumacher will once again head the
team's attack for further success this year. In 1995 he
will be partnered by experienced Briton Johnny Herbert,
who joined the team for the final two races of last season.

Briatore said: "In Michael, we have the reigning world
champion and also one of the fastest drivers in the world.
I am pleased that Johnny has joined us. He will provide a
great deal of experience and help to motivate the team to
mount a serious challenge for both titles."

Benetton were also pleased to announce that their
sponsorship agreement with Japan Tobacco Inc. has been
extended until the end of the 1996 Formula One season.

A sponsorship deal with one of Germany's largest beer
companies, Bitburger, was also announced for the 1995
season. The beer, which is sold in 34 countries worldwide,
began its association with the team at the end of last
season.

"Our continuing associations with Japan Tobacco, Elf and
Bitburger are proof of Benetton's ability to offer
companies global exposure," added Mr. Briatore. "I would
like to take this opportunity to wish all of our partners
continued success during I995."
