COMPETITION HISTORY

1982 to 1988: Karting. French Junior
      Championship 1985 and 1986. Second in
      Paris Championship 6 times and 4th in
      European Championship. Broken seat in
      final round cost him European Title.

1988: Took and won course at Volant
      Elkron-Montlhery Motor Racing School. 

1989: French FF1600. 6th in championship
      with 3 seconds and a fastest lap.

1990: French FF1600. First with 9 wins.
      11 poles and 8 lap records. 

      Competed in International Formula
      Ford Festival with pole position and
      finishing 3rd.

1991: French Formula 3. 6th in championship

1992: French Formula 3. 4th in championship
      with 3 wins.

1993: Formula 3000. 8th in Championship
      with 2 second places.

1994: Formula 3000. Won championship.3 wins
      at Spa, Estoril and Magny-Cours.

      At the end of the season he was
      offered a test for Williams at Paul
      Ricard. This was follower by two more
      tests at Estoril and Paul Ricard.

      He was offered the position of 
      official test driver in January 1995.
