1968    Founding of PP Sauber AG

1977    First start for a Sauber (C5) at the 24 Hours of Le
        Mans

1984    Sauber and Mercedes-Benz AG commence motorsport
        co-operation

1986    Sauber cars start five rounds of the Sports Car
        World Championship; Sauber C8 wins Nurburgring
        1000 km race

1988    Sauber cars win five out of 10 WSC races and the
        team finishes second in the Teams' World
        Championship

1989    Sauber C9 "Silver Arrows" secure World Sports Car
        Championship and Teams' World Championship after
        taking seven victories in eight races (three double
        wins); Sauber C9s finish first, second and fifth at
        Le Mans

1990    Sauber C11 secures WSC Drivers' and Teams' titles
        for the second consecutive year

1992    February 4: Sauber announces commencement of
        Formula One project

1993    Sauber finishes in 7th place in the Formula One
        Constructors' World Championship

1994    Sauber finishes in 8th place in the Formula One
        Constructors' World Championship
