1. Introduction

1.1 Overview
This is the second version of the Flanker Campaign Shell, a GUI interface
program designed to enhance your game play of Su-27 Flanker (Mindscape/SSI).
Features:
- Lets you create and play a tree-structured campaign from a set of
  existing missions.
- From this version, the new Mission Success Evaluator judges your
performance and shows the outcome of the mission in the debriefing.

1.2 Mission Success Evaluator
The new Mission Success Evaluator reads a .stt file and decides if the
mission was success or failure. The success condition for each mission
is written in Mission Success Condition Format (MSCF) by the user and
will be included in the briefing text in the .mis file or provided in
a separate file (.scf file). The shell first reads the condition
format text and set the success condition accordingly. After the
mission, the shell reads the temporary .stt file in the Su27 Flanker
simulation directory (actual file name is debrf.tmp) and start the
mission evaluator. The result is shown in the debriefing screen.

However, as long as you are just going to fly, you don't have to worry
about the mechanism. Just follow the screen and you will see if you
have done well or not in no time!

Single missions also benefit from the Mission Success Evaluator.
I have just started making MSCF (.scf) files for the missions currently
available on the net. Copy them onto your mission file directory when
they are available, and you'll get the debriefing for those missions.

2. How to Play

2.1 Main Menu
In the main menu, you have two modes to play: Single Mission and Campaign.
Click either of them and move onto the briefing screen.

2.2 Briefing
In Single Mission briefing, you have to choose a mission yourself. Click
'Load Mission' and select the mission file you want to fly.
In Campaign briefing, a mission is already selected and the mission
title and briefing text can be seen on the screen.
If Mission Success Condition Format (MSCF) is available on a mission,
the success condition is attached to the end of briefing text. You
will have to meet the condition to be successful, so don't forget to
check it out before you enter the mission.

2.3 Flying the Mission
Click 'Commit' button. The Flanker Campaign Shell opens the mission
file and takes you to the mission editor of the simulation. Fly the
mission as usual and exit the Su27 Flanker sim (Alt + x) when it's
over.

2.4 Debriefing
Exiting the sim returns you to the briefing window. Click 'Debriefing...'
button to go to the debriefing screen. Mission result (Success/Failure)
and summary will be shown on the screen. If no MSCF text is present
in the mission, the result will be always 'Successful'.
Click 'Next Mission' to return to the briefing.

3. Creating Campaign
See 'doc/Campaign.txt' to how to create a campaign.

4. Troubleshooting
4.1 Nothing happens when clicking 'Campaign' button in the Main Menu.
-> Check if the campaign file is properly set in the setup screen.

4.2 In debriefing, it says 'Error - No .stt file Found'.
-> Check the Su-27 path in the setup screen.

5. Bugs
For missions in which you start on the ground, the third and fourth
wingmen are not counted as a member of your wing in the mission
evaluation. In that case, you may have to change 'by My Wing'
in MSCF text to 'by Friendly'
