ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

DAUB is a new calligraphic Windows vector graphics program. Being
'brush stroke' based and implementing many machine generated effects, this
program is quite different from any other drawing program currently on the
market. It is continuously being developed and enhanced, both in the power
of its features and in raw performance.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

ONE LINER:

  Calligraphic Graphics Program for Windows.

SHORT DESCRIPTION:

Calligraphic graphics program for Windows. Simple or continuously
changing 'brush'. Selection of 'brush strokes' individually or in groups,
for automatic reshaping and/or recolouring. Support for text in any
installed font. Output on any printer that can print from Windows.
Vector based graphics with EPS exporting capability for fully professional
results (does not include EPS text in the current version).

LONGER DESCRIPTION:

Whether you are a dabbler or a professional graphic artist, you need to have
a look at DAUB. This unique calligraphic Windows program offers ease of use
and high quality output, at a fraction of the cost of other vector based graphics
programs. Its novel method of drawing and altering previously drawn 'brush
strokes' results in stunning graphics that would be hard to reproduce exactly
  using any other package.

Features include scaling in x and y directions, rotations, flipping, changing
brush width, colour and orientation as you draw, altering previously drawn
strokes in accordance with stroke length, curvature, slope etc. A unique feature
is the smoothing function which can transform shaky hand input into beautifully
smooth and flowing brush strokes on the screen. All the above can be performed
on groups of strokes as well as individual strokes.

Text is supported, and all installed fonts are available (including TrueType).
Text can be scaled and rotated in the same manner as the brush strokes. Basic
shapes such as ellipse, rectangle and rounded rectangle are also supported,
and have variable line size, line colour and fill colour.

Graphics can be stored on disk in DAUBs own format or in Encapsulated PostScript
(EPS text not currently supported) for importing into high-end graphics packages.
Graphics may also be copied to the Windows clipboard for pasting to other
  Windows applications.

Full colour and sharply defined output can be achieved on any good colour
Windows printer. For black and white work, laser printed output is razor sharp.

PRODUCT FEATURES

Although there are many painting and drawing programs available, a number of
  features make DAUB unique:

  1. It has a dynamic drawing ability which is quite different in the
way it is implemented to anything else currently on the market.

  2. Good results can be obtained at a basic level, for example for
solid colour calligraphy work. For the more adventurous, or the
professional trying to do something spectacular and 'different',
DAUB is equal to the task with its 'path attributes' functions.

  3. Functions may be accessed quickly using tools, or in a precise,
easy to use manner using the pull down menus.

  4. The product is being continually enhanced and extended.

  5. It offers very good value for money for registered users.
